With the aim of continuously improving their ecological footprint, large format (digital) Out of Home media owner blowUP media Benelux has launched a new 40m2 premium digital OOH screen in Knokke: The Green. Surrounded by a 100m2 vertical garden with carbon dioxide reducing plants, this impressive high-quality digital screen is situated in the heart of Knokke right on the popular and renowned shopping street, Lippenslaan. The living wall helps the municipality of Knokke to make the urban city centre more attractive and create a positive effect on the wellbeing of city dwellers and visitors. Knokke is the newest addition to Frontline, the digital OOH network of blowUP media Benelux which is already a success in

Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels. The vertical garden fits into the sustainable ambition of blowUP media Benelux, to maximize positive impact and is the next step in their path to sustainability, in addition to ECHO® – the 100% upcyclable Giant Poster material.

A symbiosis between nature and technology
With this new full motion digital screen in Knokke, blowUP media Benelux will allow their clients to activate their brand by using impressive and attention-grabbing images to reach their target group on the Belgian coast. Green spaces are shown to maximize visual impact and greenery on walls helps in the fight against reducing the amount of carbin dioxide in the atmosphere and thus contributes to a better climate. Approximately 1,000 kilograms of net CO2 per year will be absorbed by this vertical garden at the Lippenslaan in Knokke. The fourteen different types of
plants that are used can encourage biodiversity by attracting local birds and insects to this urban area.
